Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. I have a passion for working with people and enjoy making the lives of others better. It is amazing to see injuries, both minor and complicated, improve and see peoples lives enhanced whether it is sports, performance, school, work, or life.

When I was ten years old, I had a traumatic brain injury and almost didn’t survive. I was comatose for five days. When I woke up, I had to relearn everything. Among many things my left side was paralyzed briefly, I lost my memory from before age ten, I had to relearn my birthday, where I lived, what foods I liked, how to draw letters of the alphabet and even what the alphabet was, how to tie a shoe lace, how to walk, and many other things. My life started over. I had several doctors and therapists help me overcome my injuries. I eventually got back to a new life. I could perform well and accomplished a lot, even in sports and life. It was not easy, though; I struggled a lot and always had a few difficulties with school, reading, and learning.

My world became a lot easier after being treated through functional neurology, and I found the “why” things were not working well and how to make them better. Even after 20 years, I found deficits that were still present from my head injury. I am happy I found functional neurology. Here is a little more about me.

As a performance enhancement specialist and trainer/physiologist, I have worked with numerous people and teams of varied ages and skill levels, from the beginner to the serious or professional athlete, from grade school, high school, college age, and beyond. I have had the privilege of working with professional teams and athletes from the NFL, CFL, AFL, and MLB, as well as other sports up to the Olympic level, to ensure optimal performance and return to performance.

My passion for the nervous system and neurology led me to receive a Doctorate in Chiropractic and become a Board-Certified and Licensed Chiropractor. I continued my training with postgraduate education in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies and postgraduate studies in applications to treat Traumatic Brain Injuries and Concussions, Neurological Applications, and Vestibular Rehabilitation.

I am a caring doctor, driven to help people with challenging conditions, and my highest priority in life is to do God’s work. I was born with a heart defect and after 2 open heart surgeries, God’s grace, and intentional health building choices made daily, I can say that my level of health keeps improving with age. I have come to realize that God calls us to appreciate the highs and lows in our life for a good purpose, and after decades of life I have come to appreciate the opportunities in the lows.

I am passionate about helping people reach their full potential. Sadly there are too many people all around us that don’t get to do the simple daily tasks that we should all be able to do. I believe that we are all created with a specific God-given purpose and my purpose is to help people achieve the level of function they were created for.

I am blessed to be married to my wife Kendra, also a team member at BBRS, and I have 3 young children that absolutely love to help at work when they visit dad at the office.

I have a great passion for teaching and mentoring clinicians while providing tools that can greatly impact the health of their patients. In 2014 I co founded a company called Neurdsolutions with the goal of helping far more people achieve restored function and quality of life. In 2014 I also founded another company called Inversion belt and I have since Invented a number of products available for clinicians and patients.

I began my journey as a doctor of chiropractic when I graduated from Life University in 2002 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. In 2006 I began my studies in chiropractic neurology and I have since acquired a certification with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and a Fellow of the American Board of Childhood Development. I am so proud of our team for leading with our compassionate hearts and our creative intellect.

My goal is to give my absolute best to every patient I get the honor to work with, therefore when you succeed, I succeed.

Kristen graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2010 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kristen focused the first 7 years of her career in the clinic on Neuro Rehab - people recovering from Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. She developed a broad range of skills in helping people move and walk in a way they thought they’d lost forever.

The next 7 years she focused on private home based clients while building her family with her husband. She loved the flexibility of treating clients in their home on their terms without the influence of insurance or clinic demands.

In 2020, her family of 5 moved from Northern Virginia to North Roswell, Georgia to be closer to family and she has loved the Crabapple area!
